Being Happy

vhg

Im sure you don’t need me to tell you how to be happy as we all know what it is in life that makes us happy.

I believe that the key to life is in fact happiness and to do whatever makes you happy.

Throughout life you will meet people who tell you not to do things because you’ll regret it, it’ll be a waste of money, he’s not worth it but at the end of the day we chose to do things for a reason and if that thing makes you happy or feel good, you’re hardly going to say no or stop. In a way you kind of have to act selfish with your happiness but obviously to an extend. If going out and spending your money on a new pair of shoes every week makes you happy, do it. If you have met the man of your dreams and you want to spend time with him, do it. If you just love to lay in bed all day watching movies, do it.

You do only have one life so why not spend it they way you want to and make your own choices through life.

We’ve all done things in life which perhaps we shouldn’t have done but those things make you happy at that moment in time and i truly believe you should do what makes you happy which will contain mistakes at times but mistakes are meant to be made.

You have to live in the moment and not think about what the future holds, other wise you’ll stop yourself from doing things you’ll forever wish you did. We all do it, we all worry about the future and what will happen in all aspects of life but live in the now and be happy for now.

Me? I am very content with my life at the moment. I’m trying hard to work on my blog which i enjoy so much. I’m pushing myself to do an internship in london over the summer to gain experience for the future – effectively loosing my final summer but these things have to be done. If i didn’t have the drive to want to get a job after i finish university, i wouldn’t be doing an internship at all. Because uni always put me down when it comes to my work, I’m determined to get experience that will help me with my journey to getting a job after uni. But all in all, I’m a very happy person and try to see the good things in everything and not dwell on the bad things that happen.

How about you? What makes you happy?

Have Courage and Be Kind

Yesterday me and my sister took a trip to the cinema to see the new Cinderella film which we had both been dying to see. A film that gives off a very good message to not only younger girls but also people at my age. (This is a bit of a different post but just wanted to attempt to get my views and thoughts across)

The first being ‘have courage and be kind’ something that i don’t think a lot of us think about when living out lives. There’s always going to be people in the world that we don’t like or get on well with but by brushing it off and being kind to them will get you a lot further than creating arguments and being rude. And yes we all have arguments at times and disagree with each other, thats just part of life. But it’s something to think about and i know that just getting on a dealing with it gives you a lot less anger and a lot more happiness and other things to think about. Having courage is something that i need to try and tell myself more as i think i need a little bit more courage in my life and to help me push myself to do better. When you get put down for something you worked hard on, having courage is something that will hopefully give you that boost to show everyone that you are great and will get somewhere.

The film gives off the message ‘good things come to those who wait’. I won’t ruin the film for you but Cinderella meets the prince and just hopes that one day she’ll get to see him again, knowing that its very un likely. Cinderella being the kind and courageous woman she is, waits and finally gets that special moment with the prince and it creates a memory she’ll never forget. Cinderella waited a long time to for the  moment where the prince would ask her to marry her. An amazing thing happened to a beautiful woman who finally got the chance to to create a memory that would last a lifetime. I personally related to this quite a lot.

I as you may or may not know am at university studying Fashion. Every term we do a new project which i feel i put a lot of effort and time into. I alway try to put more effort in to a new project than i did in the previous one. But for some reason, i get put down for every single thing i do. I get my results and they tell me oh you haven’t done this, thats wrong, its too childish blah blah blah. It absolutely kills me as you wonder why the don’t tell you that while you’re actually doing the project. Anyways I’m not going to ramble on about how annoying my uni tutors can be. What I’m trying to say is, I will keep going as i am and try to be better. And i will prove those people wrong that have put me down so much about what i do. I know i can do it as i got a first in my group project. I just need to take what i have learnt and put it towards my new ventures.

Basically the message that I’m trying to get across is keep working hard and one day you will prove them wrong. And i am to do so.

I hope you liked this post. Its probably not amazingly written and probably a bit cringe but i just wanted to tell you that is okay to not be the best of the best. If you work hard and learn as you go, one day you could possibly be the best of the best.
